Atlantic City

Day 2: Philadelphia to Atlantic City, on the bus.

B: Green Tea and fruit.
L: Fruit and Muesli bars.
D: Arrived at Showboat casino and resort, they had a happy hour in 1 of the bars, so I tried a couple of Coors light on tap, rating 7.5 and a couple of Corona Extra Cans with lime rating 7.5, all served U.S.A style in plastic cups. We went to Royal Noodle Bar in Casino and had our most expensive Pho Noodle Soup, satisfactory but not as good in flavour or as generous a serve as Pho Silver Spring, rating 7.0.

Day 3 Atlantic City

B: Brewed coffee.
L: Huge ass pieces of thin style (reheated) Cheese pizza, not that great, rating 6.5.

D: Visited another Chinese restaurant at a Casino down the road, this time for a change, I tried Honey glazed Roast Pork(to prove I don’t just eat duck or quail at Chinese) and steamed rice, a very simple, if somewhat expensive, but tasty meal, rating 7.5.

Day 4 Atlantic City

B: Coffee
L: Ham, Cheese, Tomato and Lettuce Roll, just a snack from a food van on the Atlantic City board walk rating 6.5.
D: Went to new Pier food court, and found a little Italian eatery, which had a 3 course $9.99 special, included choices of 3 soups and about 6-8 mains, and no choice but bread and butter pudding for desert, I had vegetable soup, Italian meatloaf with rice, fresh cooked beans, carrots, broccoli and cabbage and the bread and butter pudding, a very satisfying meal, rating 8.0.

Day 5: Atlantic City to Boston on the dog again.

B: Fruit, nuts and crackers.
L: Fruit, nuts and crackers.
D: Skipped dinner, Lizzie was not well on the bus trip and her heaving, made me lose my appetite, not that it did me any harm to skip a meal after the cumulative overeating in the U.S.A.

Strange collection of desserts
