Day 1 Jungle
B: Bacon and Eggs, Toast,Fruit Juice, Coffee and Fresh Fruit
L: Grilled Chicken, Rice Casava Chips and Salad, rating 7.5D: Cream of Zucchini Soup, Roast Beef, Roast Potato, Rice, Casava Chips and Salad, Pineapple Jelly, very nice meal rating 8.0
Day 2 Jungle
B: Fried Eggs, Sausage, Chorizo, Toast, Fresh Fruit, Juice and Coffee.
L: Flight to Lima, Fruit and Muesli bars
D: Final Tour Dinner. Lima, ½ Rotisserie Chicken, Chips and Salad, followed by Lemon Meringue Pie, rating 8, a lovely tasty meal to end tour, Quesquena beer 8.5.
Day 3 Lima
B: Buffet breakfast hotel Brittania
L: Beef Ravioli, Garlic Bread, rating 7.0.D: Pastrami, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato Panini and Glazed donuts, rating 7.5.
Day 4 Lima
B: Bread rolls, fried egg, passionfruit juice, coffee
L: Lombo Saltada at Sofi's Cafe (Chicken, Onions, Tomato ) with rice and Chips, rating 7.5.D: Pastrami, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato Panini and Glazed donuts, rating 7.5.
Day 5 Lima
B: Bread rolls, fried egg, passionfruit juice, coffee
L: On flight Lima to Miami, Chicken Casserole, Mashed Potato and meringue, rating 7.5D: In Miami late that night- a Margarita Pizza, rating 7.5, and Rustica Gourmet, Artichoke heart, kalamata olives, parma ham, fresh basil, sundried and fresh tomatoes, cheese, rating 7.5 Heineken beer, rating 8.5.
Day 6 Miami
B: Coffee, toast
L: Smoked turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomato on tortilla wraps, rating 7.0.Bass beer, light ale 5% rating 7.0, Angry Orchard Apple Cider for Liz, rating 9.0, at Zekes Roadhouse Lincoln Road, Miami.
D: Small Pork and noodles soup and Singapore noodles rating 7.0.
Day 7
B: Cereal, Toast OJ and Green Tea
L: Snacks, chips and donut.
D: At Pathas - Mediterranean Meat Platter, Chicken and Beef kebabs, grilled Lamb Chops, mince beef pattie, Chicken Fillet and Salad, pita bread, hummus, rating 8.0.
Week 9
Day 1 Miami
B: Cereal, Toast OJ, Yoghurt and green tea.
L: Fried Fish, rice and salad, rating 7.5.D: Mexican Platter, soft chicken taco, chicken taco, chicken questada, rice, salsa and refried beans, rating 7.5.
Day 2 Miami
B: Cereal, Toast OJ, Yoghurt and green tea.
L: Hot Dog “Don Tony”, paid $4.99 for basically a Hot Dog with sauce, no extras, a rip off, disappointing, rating 4.5.D: Thin Margarita pizza for $6.10, best pizza in the U.S.A to date, rating 8.5.
Day 3 Miami
B: Cereal, Toast OJ, Yoghurt and green tea.
L: Leftover beef casserole and rice, rating 7.5.Visited Zekes bar, 2 Cascade premium lagers, rating 8.5, 1 drifter pale ale draft 7.0.
Day 4 Miami
B: Cereal, Toast OJ, Yoghurt and green tea.
L: Cuban Buffet at David’s Café , Chicken and noodle soup, grilled pork, chicken, fish, crumbed chicken, beef, rice and salad, desert custard and orange jelly, great meal, rating 8.0.Day 5 Miami
B: Cereal, Toast, OJ, Yoghurt and green tea.
L: Snacks and fruit on bus enroute to Washington.D: Hot Dog and chips rating 6.0.
Day 6 Washington
B: Crackers, cheese and tomato and fruit.
L: Rotisserie chicken, with lettuce, tomato & red onion roll and a fresh garden salad, rating 7.5.
D: Fruit and snack.
Day 7 Washington
B: Green Tea and fruit.
L: Chicken and salad sub, chips and a banana and berry smoothie, rating 7.0.D: Fish Tacos, salsa and coleslaw, provided by our hosts Alex and Emily, rating 7.5, Yeungling beer, 5% rating 7.0.
Week 10 Washington
Day 1 Washington
B: Green Tea
L: Fruit
D: Visited Pho Vietnamese restaurant Silver Springs, sampled deep fried Spring Rolls, and a tasty serve of Pho (Rice) Noodle Soup, with the usual Vietnamese mint, chilli and bean sprouts, very refreshing and wholesome, rating 8.0.
Day 2 Washington
B: Green Tea and banana on rye toast.
L: Visited American Indian Museum café 1 of the Smithsonian Institute facilities, tried Buffalo Chilli soup, with fried bread, followed by fresh blackberries and custard tart, rating 7.5.
D: Visited Chinatown Washington, sampled steamed pork and leek dumplings, followed by Roast Duck, broccoli and rice, rating 7.5.
Day 3 Washington
B: Green tea and fruit.
L: Visited Washington Zoo, shared a 12 inch sub, Ham Salami Cheese and Lettuce, glazed donut and iced coffee, rating 7.5. D: Took up the opportunity to have dinner with our airbnb hosts, Alex and Emily and try some famous Maryland Blue Crabs, caught in Chesapeake Bay that morning at Mike’s restaurant, overlooking the water. They were served coated with old bay spice (delicious), and the table was covered with brown paper, we were supplied with small mallets to break up the crabs, accompanied by whole baked potato (in alfoil). A truly remarkable dining experience, the crabs were delicious (a bit like our sand crabs, but served hot), rating 9.0. We also sampled a Dogfish head draft beer, rating 7.0.
B: Green tea and banana on rye toast.
L: Visited Union Square station, food court, Indian, a rare opportunity to try a curry, lunch consisted of curried lentils, chicken marsala and a chicken and vegetable curry with rice and naan bread, generous serves, quite tasty, rating 7.5.D: Because we had enjoyed Pho Silver Springs, this time I tried, deep fried spring rolls, followed by an old favourite, 2 x roasted marinated quails on a bed of lettuce, again not disappointed quails, were moist and tasty, rating 8.0.
Also went to Quarry Hill Tavern, a grungy downstairs bar in Silver Springs, where I sampled Ranger Pale Ale on tap, rating 7.0, and a Fordham Belgian style lager stubby, rating 8.0, to Lizzie’s delight, they had strongbow cider on tap, which she rated an 8.5.

Day 5 Washington
B: Green tea and honey on rye toast.
L: Choc chip muffin and a half decent barista coffee, rating 7.0.D: Our last night in Washington, so as a small gesture of our thanks for their kindness, we cooked for our hosts, and Emily’s mum and dad, Liz and Walt. They had never tried lamingtons so Lizzie prepared some lamos for desert. For our main meal, we had lightly seasoned and floured fried fresh cod, with rice and a thai salad, went down a treat, and it was almost therapeutic to be cooking in a kitchen again after so many bought meals, rating 8.5. In my ongoing quest to expand my appreciation of U.S.A. beer, tried some Saranac lager stubbies, made in New York state, which went down a treat, rating 8.0.
Day 6 Washington to Philadelphia
B: Green tea.
L: Fruit and nuts and muesli bars.D: Arrived at our airbnb stay, and just went down to the corner mart (store, we tried Buffalo wings (crumbed chicken wings) and a Potato Eggs and Bacon plate, a little bit greasy, rating 6.5.
Day 7 Philadelphia
B: Cereal, OJ, Coffee and muffins with blackberry jam.

D: Because we had access to a kitchen, decided to eat in, so Lizzie made a simple tomato sauce pasta, with pepper jack cheese, in lieu of parmesan, rating 7.5.

DeleteIt is far and away the best city to date, about the size of cairns, mountains in thr background, google it san sebatian or donistia, basque r a discrete group own language own culture, fighting the spanish for a separate state for hunderds of years
