Arrived In Paris, got to accommodation, on a stroll to stretch our legs, to ease the jet lag, found the local pub, so undertook further quality control tasks, and sampled a couple of the Amstel beers 5.5%, on tap, which is a Belgian blonde ale, went down very well, rating 8.0, Lizzie also tried the local Rose which was also well received and rated an 8.0.
D: Tried a couple of halal steak burgers and fries from the local takeaway, very simple but tasty take away meal, rating 7.0. Day 3

Paris Our accommodation was 200 metres from a Boulangerie (Bakery) with fresh baguettes and pasties and French sweet delights,

and on Wednesdays and Saturdays there was a huge flea market, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish market incorporated. It is stone fruit season here, so we got some delicious apricots, china flat peaches, bananas, apples oranges, really flavoursome tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber at Australian prices, and we were to learn about1/4 of downtown Paris prices, a bargain to be sure.

Day 4 Paris
B: Green Tea, OJ, Fresh banana baguette
L: Chicken, cheese, lettuce and tomato baguette, rating 7.0, accompanied by a vanilla slice, much nicer sweet, rating 8.5.

D: Our accommodation location was superb, shops, pub close by, and a butcher shop, but with a difference, each morning they loaded up a large rotisserie with seasoned and spiced (turmeric, curry, cumin and others) chickens, and potatoes, which they sold as they were cooked throughout the day, we of course had endured these delicious odours for a of couple of days, so when we got back from our day sightseeing, we got half a chicken, unfortunately, they were sold out of potatoes, so it was a simple chicken and salad, with balsamic vinegar and olive oil and fresh baguette, rating 7.5.
Day 5 Paris
B: Fruit, Green Tea, OJ, Ham on fresh baguette.
D: Sampled some spaghetti bolognaise which was just ok, rating 6.5, followed by Tiramisu, which was very tasty, rating 8.0.
Day 6 Paris
B: Fruit and coffee.
L: Lamb kebab with chilli sauce and chips, a nice change and tasty, rating 7.5.D: Finally got in early enough at the butcher to get ½ chicken and roasted/basted spiced potatoes, it was market day again, so we topped up the salad vegetables, so a home -made meal, rotisserie chicken with potatoes and salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil and fresh baguette, rating 7.5.

D: After such a delightful lunch, had a light meal, fresh warm baguette, with egg and lettuce, rating 7.0, followed by a disappointing vanilla slice, rating 6.5. Conclusion the local bakery did great bread (baguettes), but fell down on their pastries/sweets. Bit more quality control, had a couple more extra large Kronnenbourg cans, rating 7.5.

Day 2 Paris
B Fruit:L: Marinated Lamb Doner Kebabs, with cous cous, chips and salad and 2 great chilli sauces, one mild the other very hot, the lamb was melt in the mouth, and all in all a very tasty meal. Rating 8.
D: Fruit on overnight train Paris to Madrid.
